ClearstreamXact: New German Tax Voucher Request Template

Further to Announcement C22037 of 14 June 2023, Clearstream Banking1 informs clients that effective

8 April 2024

a new German Tax Voucher Template will be available.

Background

The content and formats of the German Tax Voucher Request Template have been adapted to comply with the latest German Tax legal requirements.

Impact on clients

In order to submit a German Tax Voucher Request, clients must ensure that they download the latest template available from Xact Web Portal under Tax, Tax Attestation, Tax Attestation Request Upload.

Clients using Xact File Transfer can also download the template from Xact Web Portal. Alternatively, for clients who do not have access to Xact Web Portal, the template can also be downloaded from the website under Tax forms to use - Germany.

Cancellations

To cancel a Tax Voucher request with status “pending validation”, clients should either:

  • In Xact Web Portal, cancel the request using the dedicated button;
  • Via Xact File Transfer, using the “Download&Cancellation” tab in the Excel template, submit a request quoting the Request ID and the “CANCEL” action;

To cancel an already issued Tax Voucher, clients should:

  • In Xact Web Portal and Xact File Transfer, complete the “Cancel.(Issued Vouchers)” tab in the Excel template and submit the generated CSV file request.

Additional information

Clients are recommended to start providing in their requests the following optional fields, as applicable, since these will become mandatory as of January 2025:
