Hong Kong: Latest trade date and earlier settlement deadline for United Company Rusal Plc (486.HK) due to U.S. sanctions on Ukraine and Russia - update

Further to our Announcement A18043, Clearstream Banking1 advises customers that, effective
immediately
the latest trade date for stock “United Company Rusal Plc” (486.HK) to settle via the Central Clearing and Settlement System (CCASS) is
30 April 2018. The Hong Kong domestic settlement instruction deadline (via CCASS) has been adjusted to 10:00 SD-1 Central European Summer Time (16:00 SD-1 Hong Kong Time).
Background
These requirements have been imposed by Clearstream Banking's depository, Citibank N.A. (Hong Kong branch) due to obligatory additional compliance checks.
The U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated Specifically Designated Nationals (SDNs) including additional entities under the Ukraine/Russia sanctions program. Accordingly, U.S. persons are prohibited from transacting in or with such entities and are required to block property and interests in the property of the SDNs including the United Company Rusal Plc.
Impact on customers
Given that the latest trade date is 30 April 2018, the settlement date must be no later than 3 May 2018.
Customers entering both delivery and receive instructions in the following security codes must also add the following representation into the text of field :70E: (DECL) of their MT54X instruction:
