Codelist – Securities Database: Additional search criteria

Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers that effective

immediately

additional search criteria will be added to the Codelist - Securities Database.

These changes are part of Clearstream Banking’s continued efforts to improve the security and usability of its online services, as well as enabling better identification of securities and the location in which they are held.

Background

The Codelist application is Clearstream Banking’s online access point to databases of cash correspondents, depositories, securities, Euro fixing rates and issuer International Securities Market Advisory Group (ISMAG) adherence. The Securities Database that is part of the Codelist is only accessible if you are logged in as a “Premium User”.
To register on the website, go to “My Clearstream” and click on “Register now”. Only Clearstream Banking customers are eligible to become Premium Users.

Impact on customers

The following additional search criteria will be available:

  • Allow the selection on CBF custody type (such as NCSC-T).
  • Allow users to select dates for which securities have become Local Market Partner (LMP) eligible, by ticking the field “T2S CBF services” and indicating the required dates.

  • Both the “CBF Custody Type” (such as NCSC-T) and “T2S CBF Start Date” (corresponding to the LMP activation date) are reflected under the “Other Information” section.

  • Additionally, the “Depository Country (LGL)” and “Depository Lagerstelle (LGS)” will be displayed under the “General Information” section.

These elements are downloadable as CSV and XML files.

Output will only be displayed if the security is published, and if the new fields are applicable to the given security: For non-eligible LMP ISINs, the query result and fields will appear blank.

Customers are requested to verify that the new fields are compatible with their systems.
