Spain: Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) – Further developments for Basque Country and Navarra

Following Announcement C23012, Clearstream Banking1 informs clients about the following new developments for the Basque Country and Navarra.

New Spanish FTT Declaration File to be used. Available on the Spain: Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) page.

1 January 2024

The field 67 "IT1DNIFEMI" of the ITF001 format will become mandatory

12:00 CET 15 January 2024

Last day to submit late FTT reporting for periods prior to January 2024.FTT reporting received after this date might be rejected by Iberclear (Spanish CSD).

17 January to 21 January 2024 inclusive

The connectivity channels with Iberclear will be closed due to the migration to the new reporting system. FTT reporting (ordinary and late) cannot be submitted until channels open on 22 January 2024.

22 January 2024

From 22 January, clients can start submitting their ordinary FTT reporting again, as well as late reporting for periods prior to January 2024 already subject to the new FTT reporting system.
