CBF reporting tools - Changes in the application landscape | Update

11.05.2023

Note: This Announcement, originally published on 25 November 2022, has been updated to provide further details after the migration of CBF Fileservice on 2 May 2023.

Clearstream Banking AG, Frankfurt1, informs customers about modifications in the procedures for the specialised reporting tools CBF Bestandsprovisionen2, CBF Fileservice and CBF Investor Portal.

Implementation approach

For the purpose of further consolidation, CBF started to investigate which services currently offered via the Deutsche Börse's platform can be integrated into the Clearstream Banking application landscape. The latest results show that, in 2023, the CBF reporting for Bestandsprovisionen² and the CBF Fileservice can be migrated to ClearstreamXact whereas the service CBF Investor Portal will not be supported as of October 2023.

Customer impact

CBF's implementation approach for the specialised reporting tools defines deployment activities in three phases:

  • CBF Fileservice
Since 28 November 2022, a dedicated Announcement has outlined the upgrade to ClearstreamXact. Information is available regarding the usage of Xact Web Portal, the execution of the guided customer simulation as well as for the envisaged migration.
  • CBF Bestandsprovisionen²
Starting 1 September 2023, investment fund companies will be able to use the updated service offering via Vestima. Affected companies will be informed by CBF allowing the renewal of existing contracts wth CBF and potentially with CBF customers.
  • CBF Investor Portal
As of October 2023, this service will no longer be supported. Instead, CBF customers can benefit from the existing CASCADE Online functionality or automated connectivity channels using CBF’s dedicated message types. Since 2 May 2023, the new CBF File Service Download functionality of Xact Web Portal has been used to provide feedback on the processing results of shareholder data.
